From the wine list at Baco, in Providencia, Santiago. Light straw color. Nose of lemongrass and lime. Broader and more subtle than the Undurraga TH we had last night, with less acidity, less attack. Not a particularly long finish. Good against the smoked salmon and the marinated salmon, but wouldn't stand up to more robust fare.

Very nice, loved this - Gold, full viscosity with a nose of grapefruit, lime, apple and caramel, quite complex, huge, but balanced (surprisingly with such high alcohol), well made, smooth, sour on the palate with terrific length, well done! (91 Points).

Aromas of citrus and straw. A slight whiff of bitter chocolate and burnt rubber which again shows up on the finish. Good body, length and complexity for a sauv blanc. Liked it but for the price, I would not buy it again. If your palate leans towards more tropical fruit orientated sauv blancs, this is not it. At 14.5% alchohol, it shows and this is not an easy drinking sauv blanc (some may like it even more for that reason).

(Amayna Sauvignon Blanc, Leyda Valley) Exotic aromas of spiced pear, gooseberry, and juniper dominate the nose. The wine is medium-to-full-bodied, with beautiful balance throughout. A lengthy finish features lively acidity, ginger notes, and minerality. Very stylish. Appellation: San Antonio Valley
(Viña Garcés Silva Amayna Sauvignon Blanc, Leyda Valley, Chile) Since its first vintage just five years ago, Amayna has already become one of Chile’s top wineries. The 2008 Sauvignon Blanc combines immense concentration with crisp acidity, thanks to Leyda Valley’s unique climate. Packed with tangy lemon, greengage-plum, and chive flavors, this wine is an extraordinary match with fresh seafood doused with citrus and herbs. The Burgundy-shaped bottle further distinguishes this mouthwatering, well-priced Sauvignon Blanc from all the rest. Sommelier's Choice: Top Releases of 2009
