Beautiful tawny. Caramel in color and in flavor. The condensation of flavors is evident Just a really great wine. The finish seems to last forever. My favorite this far is the Graham’s 30

40 YO Tawny Vertical: Medium sweet and feminine but still packed with lovely aged flavors. Vanilla, caramel and orange peel in a very lovely combination mixed with plenty of spices. Lovely balance and overall a great wine! Bottled in 2021

(NV Kopke 40 Year Old Tawny Port) At the 2009 Sammamish Tawny Fest, this 2007 bottling showed serious scents of marzipan, citrus, pipe tobacco, and nuts. In the mouth, it was rich and generous, with solid acidity keeping the sweet, nutty flavors in check. By the second day, the wine had really come into its own, and although it had gained no more weight, it seemed even more complex and far smoother. Of the three 40-year-olds in the tasting, this was the only one to show no hint of spirits. It also offered an extremely long finish, with a nutty, praline-edged aftertaste. The Tenets of Tawny Port
