Colour: Dark crimson. Nose: Menthol dominates with plum and blackberry underneath. Palette: Very rich, plums, menthol, blackberry some pepper as well. Medium to long finish. Not subtle but very nice. Good wine for a winters evening. Not sure if it will improve but it'll be very drinkable for a few more years. Great bang for the buck.

This is a beaut! Kind of a beast too. Great Southern Hemisphere hot ripe red with alcohol, extraction, but also acid balance. Still deep dark red in color, almost black in hue and opacity. I sense new toasted oak that gives rich charred black berry and dark roast coffee on the nose. These notes are echoed by the profound sweet fruit and tannins (which are present and starting to precipitate amid the wine). Very much alive and an interesting future ahead. Seems like great value. Big wine, approaching port like qualities.

Fantastic fruit, deep black currant, plum. Absolutely seemless. Decanting helped open it up. Surprising balanced for a Barossa Shiraz

It has been too long since I had this to write a formal note, but I recall really enjoying this!
