Volnay Night: Much bigger intensity. Biggest structure amongst the volnay so far. Favourite amongst others but does not sing to me. Does not seem to have the fitness

This wasn't as bright and fruit-forward as most other LLMs I've had. Instead this was rather brooding and not very expressive at the moment. In fact, this felt a bit clunky although you can feel lots of extract here.

Another very well-made wine, even more so than the Pousse. This nosed of cherries, some roses, & a tad of soil/earth - a sign of it having slightly more age under its belt than the previous few wines. This was dark-red fruited on the palate. Good intensity, but it also came across as subtle, composed, long & steady. Very good!

Spicy nose, with some stalk, meaty and floral notes in the background. The palate has sumptuousness to it with some rich fruit and good carry. Not exactly refined but it was tasty and drinking well right now.
