  • Bouteille à point. Superbe pinot noir à maturité avec un fin de moka en finale.
Il faut aimer les vieux vins bien sûr mais cela vaut le coup de les attendre quand on a un tel résultat

  • This is highly enjoyable. Developed nose with lots of butter, ripe citrus fruit, white chocolate and a touch of wet concrete.

High, mouthwatering acidity, viscous body and a good intensity.

Love this! Will keep my eyes out for Philippe Gilbert in the future.

  • Clear, medium intensity, lemon color.

Developing nose, a bit reductive upon opening but that blew away very quickly. Medium(+) intensity with aromas of semi-dried grape, bruised stone fruit, baked lemon, lime zest, honey comb and a slight creamy note. After a while in the glass it also shows some over ripe red apple, grass and corn-cob. Really intriguing nose.

Bone dry with high acidity and medium(-) body. More youthful on the palate with tangy citrus fruit, green apple, bruised stone fruit, slight hint of wool and nuts. Medium(+), tart, finish with loads of fresh lime juice and grape fruit.

This is a way more interesting expression of Sauvignon Blanc than the ordinary elderflower-soda. Maybe not in the league with Dagueneau's wines but not far away. In a really great phase now and will probably be really enjoyable for another 2-3 years.

  • I have had this wine twice and have not liked it. Not nearly as fresh and attractive as the regular bottling. It is decently dry, but flat, lacks the Loire character and has a somewhat harsh and attenuated finish. This cuvee comes from the oldest vines and spends time in barrels before stainless steel. I think the barrels are screwing it up (at least at this stage).
