Crimson. Full rich nose of floral cherry and spice which was the highlight of the wine. In the mouth, a bit angular and overly firm. One taster called it "crunchy". Out of balance toward the acidic side and uncomfortable tannic structure particularly for pinot noir.

Bought this after tasting it at Wally's Central Coast tasting a few years back. Not familiar with Solomon Hills terroir but this has been one of my favorite wines. This bottle was no exception and one of my top pinots ever. Wow is this guy making great stuff. Gorgeous aromas right from the start, popped and poured, red fruits with predominant cherry and a bit of clove. Impressive palate with medium body, excellent acidity and balance with a persistent red fruit/cherry/strawberry. Clove more of a cinnamon note in the mouth. I've read about vibrancy but this is the first time I understood what it meant in a wine. In a great place for me right now but I would expect a more elegant wine with a few years more in bottle.

Nice fruit. Cherries, Rasberries and Cranberries. Rich taste; nice mouth feel. A bit of fizz at the finish.

Not as impressed as first bottle. Good fruit, some heat. A little disjointed.
