I had this after dinner on 10/15/11. It had a powerful, bright and intriguing bouquet of raspberry, plum, smoked meat, licorice, spice and herb aromas. The palate was smooth, concentrated and delicious with flavors that matched the nose.

Nose exhibiting vegetal and mineral tones, this wine is simply put very green, but still good. There is a need for a serious decant if you have this now. I would let it rest for another couple of years or so. Recommended.

The nose has some smoke and black cherry that leads into a palate of plum, raspberry, pepper, cedar and bacon that finishes with an acidic Strawberries. Day two brought out some vanilla on the nose and more pepper spiciness on the palate. I was underwhelmed for a $40 bottle of wine. Even at 50% off I would question the QPR.
