Truly Burgundian in its lighter body and aromatic styling, this is probably showing just past peak. Mushrooms, cherry, dried herbs and a touch of vanilla on the nose with cherry, forest floor and black tea dominating the palate. Seamless finish that lasts nearly 30 seconds. Drink thru 2012.

A more restrained pinot than some of the California pinots I've had and much better than the standard RRV bottle. Floral nose and fruit peaking through, but a bit green. A good, but not great wine.
