I'm not a big Riesling fan, but I enjoyed this white. Slightly sweet, but not like syrup. Very mild on the palate, but complimentary with fruit or different cheeses (I did a cinnamon cheese--yep, cinnamon...I love trader joe's!). I was quite suprised at how good this wine was for the cost. I think I paid $9 for it at Bevmo.

Lychee and sour apple nose. A little rubbery - reminds me of cheap bike tires. Very sweet and fruity on the palate. Apple, melon. Definite bike tire on the finish, which is short and gets a little hot as the wine is warming up. A great riesling? No. A good riesling? Adequate maybe, but pretty drinkable for 8 bucks, and I've seen it for less too.

When cold this wine came across somewhat cloying with strong melon and lychee but not enough acidity to bring balance. It sat out for a quite a while and when warmer grapefruit flavors rose up to give it more balance. It still lacked enough acidity to even out.

If you like a very sweet Riesling this one is for you. A real fruit blast.
