Total cedar bomb pouring it into the decanter. (And the schmutz left behind in the bottle was truly amazing!) Just a little cedar left by the time it got to the glass, along with notes of clove and cardamom. Somewhat astringent on the tongue, but not oppressively so.

Nearly black. Blackberry, oak and a bit of green on the nose. Full bodied, big tannins, blueberries, smoke, plums, blackberries, leather, good acid, and a dry, medium finish. Well balanced, smooth, and delicious.

Bright, deep garnet red. Aromas' of menthol, bandaid, red cherry, spice and earth. Very little fruit in this one with predominate flavors of black pepper, flint and tannins. Short to medium finish.
