  • Medium dark ruby with some cinnamon nose. Dry, medium fruit and body, spicy tannins, showing it's age gracefully with a metallic mineral note on the finish. Nice acid to compliment the fruit and give good balance.

  • Inky dark ruby with slight bricking. Started out a bit rough, so I pushed to the back of the counter for several days with no takers. I felt a little sorry for the poor bottle, so decided to give a second chance before to cook pot. While not great by any means, not a total loss either. The bold fruit is showing quite restrained, acid and tannins are in a good balance. Getting some earth and leather, black currants and ripe cherries followed with tart tannins, more brambles than oak on the finish. I could serve this to my syrah drinkers with no regrets. Just give several days open to come around.

  • Inky purple, strong blackberry nose. Dry tart, ripe fruit, full bodied 88 pts on the PnP. Purple stone fruits with well integrated tannins. A couple of nights later, moving into bright berry, tart cherry territory. If you are looking for a jammy Aussie red, this is not one of them. Nicely balanced acids and well integrated tannins. In a really good place with the acid keeping freshness alive.

  • Dark purple, nose of ripe plumbs and cherries. Dry, light fruit, acid and tannins for an even balanced nicely aged wine. More old world than new at this point in time. Ten years on and a pleasure to drink with or without food.

  • Dark purple, spicy bramble nose. dry, ripe fruit, blackberry & sour cherry with brambles and a mineral twist. Well aged, totally integrated and balanced, drinking well now. Developing some red meat flavors with some open time. Not bad for a cheap wine.
