My first bottle was disappointing, but this one lived up to expectations for the citrus fruit on the nose and palate, the seabed minerality, and general creaminess I get on Dagueneau wines in the mid-palate into the finish. This is the only vintage of this wine I'll likely ever have so I'm glad one bottle showed so well.

Flinty, mineral, waxen, textural. Astonishing liquid, full of life. A touch richer than other 2006's (never tasted Asteroide though), concentrated, long.

(Didier Dagueneau Blanc Fumé de Pouilly Clos du Calvaire) Light yellow color; big, lemon chiffon, mineral and orange blossom nose; tasty, tart lemon, tart orange, mineral palate with cut and a touch of orange honey; medium-plus finish 92+ pts. (hard to put a finger on--keeps changing in the glass)
