  • Golden yellow --- Nose shy, some dried apple, elegant sourness --- Palate cool, very nice acidity accompanied by some sweetness, dried apples, very nice tartness, some ripe pineapple, minerals coming through, nice citrus oil --- Finishes pretty long on fruitiness, tartness and minerals. This beauty is ten years of age now, its color is so beautiful, there is not so much going on it is the overall appearance, so nicely integrated, one flow of elegance and deliciousness. I think this is classy.

  • Medium yellow, green shimmer --- Nose wet river stones, herbal aspects, citrus vapor, nice sweetness, bouquet of herbs, some mint --- Palate fresh, oily sweetness, then nice acidity, citrus notes, grapefruit, herb bonbon, nice tartness --- Finishes pretty long on a mixture of candied herbs, freshness and nice tart sweetness. Excellent piece of Riesling. Authentic, no copy of other Rheinhessen GGs, definitely shows GG quality. Classy, authentic and tasty. My last bottle, what a pity, should be fun to watch it evolve the next 3-6 years.

  • Exotic spices and ripe white fruit on the mineral laden, dry smelling nose. A hint of smoke? Expansive on the spicy palate, with good balance between ripe white fruit, smokey minerals and citruslike acidity. Still fairly primary, needs additional bottle age. Very good at the price level.
