Pop and pour, which was clearly the wrong choice for this bottle. Lots of chalky tannin, super tight, not much on the nose. After a couple hours picks up a bit of fruit, some pepper, but still not giving much. Will report back if this opens up in a few days, but otherwise I'd let your bottles rest.
Night 2 update - has finally opened up a bit. Super dark fruit, stating to get some secondary flavors, still a tannic beast, but at least drinkable with food. If I had another bottle I'd let it sit for a few more years, though I can't say I'm certain it'll ever quite resolve properly.

Popped at the Plonk Wine Bar in the Oak Forest neighborhood of Houston (great spot) and poured into decanter. Deep, dark color in the glass, super highly concentrated fruit right up front, but retrained - not flabby. Tons of tannins at the end, could use another hour in the decanter. A very enjoyable drink.
