PnP - another crumbled cork, and this wine has been stored properly!! A bit shy on the nose with some light petrol and ripe golden apple aromas. Broad on the palate - sweet, ripe and rich with ripe pear, almond extract and some minerality. Just barely enough acid to keep balance on the long, sweet finish. Believe this has some years at peak - just beware of the cork problems! 91+

Sweet, even for a Spatlese. More so than a 2003 Prum GH Auslese the night before. For my palate, this isn’t particularly well balanced. Not sure where it goes from here.

Sadly, this was corked - lots of chlorine on the nose :( I have had a number of cork failures with Haart's 2008s. Suppose nothing can be done now, but if you own them I would open early, and use an ah-so to reduce crumble factor. Clearly there was a nice wine underneath. Still could get fresh apples, honey, slate and some petrol on the palate - with decent acidity, but tough to get past the flawed aromas. would have been a 91-92ish score.

Sweet, and very round/ripe flavors. I need more acidity! Would pair well with a very spicy dish I’d imagine.

Crumbly cork. Sad because you could tell there once was a very nice wine there.
