  • Been hanging on to this one since bringing home from Germany, as Terry refused to bring in many trocken wines lol. Has nice richness, mix of stone fruits, red apple skin, a touch of saline, the richness beats out some light minerality on the finish. Probably at or just past its peak, but drinking beautifully.

  • Dry. So dry. Steely, minerality is what grabs your taste buds, even though there is a fair amount of beautiful fruit intensity lurking behind that wall of stainless steel slate. Wisps of mouth-watering lime acidity glide by on the finish, but in the end the surgical steel is the only sensation left. Fantastic wine.

  • Day 3 --- Deep yellow, almost golden --- Nose yellow stone fruit, minerality, flowers, melon, some honey, some ripe apple, grapefruit --- Palate fresh, vivid, crisp acidity, yellow fruit dominates, some citrus notes, some grapefruit, nice saltiness, intense minerality --- Finishes on minerality, some bark, some refreshing bitterness, some fruit. This vine shows much fruit coupled with loads of minerality and saltiness.

  • Wonderful flower-nose, apricot. Very mineralic wine! Drink or hold 10y+

  • Wonderful nose of exotic fruit and flowers. Minerality not very pronounced. Strong acidity and pleasant salinity. Pretty good length. Slightly better than the Schäfer Fröhlich from the same vineyard.
