2018 New Years Day Tasting (Marietta, GA): Pale color, old, dull maroon core with orange red rim; fennel, caraway, celery seed, cedar, brown sugar, a bit tired and lost aromatic intensity; sharper tannin towards the end, thinner more resolved palate, still some sweet fruit and redeeming qualities; called '82 Moccagatta.

Open bq w cherries, violets, tar, touch of oak, and a little solvent (from age?). Nice structure w lively acid and tannins, medium bodied, with fruit still present. Long aftertaste w lingering fruit, though not very complex. Has a few more years to go.
