Opened late morning but cocked back in cellar. At dinner this had a gorgeous ethereal nose. This was a structured complex wine which unfurled in the glass and peaked about 2 hours into the drinking window. Drank next to other Echezeaux makers this highlighted the strength of the echezeaux du dessus site. This started to fade at the end of the evening. Perhaps I shouldn’t have opened so early!

Delicious and very drinkable. Classic stemmy quality with a pleasing ripeness but not out of balance. Drank like a somewhat older wine. No harm enjoying this now.

(Tremblay Cécile Echézeaux Du-Dessus) 100% of the stems retained during the fermentation, it's been assembled for 1 month, but is still not in bottle. Beautiful fruit on the nose, which is wide but also shows depth and focus - hauntingly good as a beacon of pure red emerges. Width and grainy tannin on the palate that clings to the mouth - but in doing so it adheres flavour so that the finish is even longer. Stands out both for its individuality and complexity - excellent.

Quite broad and dense for an 07. Red fruit driven. Drinking well.

Some Wine Tasted at the Zachys La Paulée Auction; 3/7/2019-3/8/2019 (Le Bernardin Prive - New York NY): Broad array of red fruit. Medium/ good weight and very good textures and balance, with an expanding finish. Very good now.
