Surprisingly vibrant nose of dark berries. On the tongue. though, it is obvious that those berries have been beaten down by the years. Yes, I do get currant, but it is only a suggestion, Also, I get leather and tobacco. I am surprised at the power that remains of the tannin, All in all, a good wine, but probably past it's prime. and I'm happy to allocate cellar storage space to another one.

Still holding together. Leather and tobacco with slightly muted fruits and medium minus tannins that open up to a pleasant cherry cola note on the palate with air. Starts to fade after a couple of hours. I would drink up if you have any left but it’s a solid wine for 18 years old. Keenan constantly outperforms for their price point.

This got put into a big decanter and served within 10 minutes. Smooth and velvety with dark berry and plum notes. Nice cab flavors which made this easy drinking and smooth. Nice high notes and elegance, more impressive for the texture and purity than complexity or length yet a solid performer for the price. Not sure if this will see further development but should be at a good place for another 3+ years perhaps even longer.
