I was worried on first opening as both the nose and palate were a bit soft and flabby. An hour laternthere was a much nicer aroma of hedgerow fruit and prunes. The palate had improved too, with some grip I'm evidence and a nice light but firm fruit set. A nice Gigondas and good value too. Drink or hold.

Paired with roasted whole chicken. Really delicious. Last bottle. Too bad!

After 1 hour of aerating: Solid ripe dark fruit, leather, herbs. Structurally sound with firm tannins and acidity. Long finish.

Wine Education Service - Chase the Grape - Grenache (LSE): Perfumed, slightly meaty, blood, cedar, complex.
Juicy (peach) sweet attack, becoming very dry, very soft tannins, smooth mid palate, great length.
