A bit of strawberry fruit on the nose followed by a savory mouthful of mature flavors on the palate. Much more savory than I would have thought and not sour or thin - nicely balanced and richer than I was expecting for a 15 year old Poulsard. Still, way past time to drink up I think.

For some reason I have the impression that I don't much like Mr Bornard's wine, but upon reviewing my notes this is obviously not the case.
This bottle is poulsard of relative richness, its lightness and spice augmented by what I assume is maturity. Enough intensity to stand up to beef rib roast, but still delicate and floral. Apparently I have drunk pretty much all of these too young, not what I have expected.

Flavors much as previous, but now the wine has cleared, gained a bit of body, and seems more elegant. Slightly short finish. Went well with veal Marsala.

From memory. Slightly cloudy candy red. Poulsard with a bit of a wild side, very refreshing, medium ripe and fine with food, variously pizza, short ribs, spaghetti/meatballs. Not as elegant as many other producers.
