Reddish brown with lightening around the edges. Aromas develop over time to show florals, soy, brown spice and tart-sweet cranberries and raspberries. The medium bodied palate still shows sweetness to the sour small red fruits, brown soy-mushroom sauce, inner mouth florals and a long linear savory finish.

no notes but remember this being pretty nice, with a lot of oak in the background (which took my interest down a notch)... interestingly given the wine makers predilection in the 90's for saying he uses "200% new oak" I have had many good red burgs of his during this period and usually don't get bothered by oak, but this had too much, if not for that I would say 93, given the oak I got here probably more like 91

I’ve rarely drunk the Dominique Laurent wines, however this was an enjoyable example and gives some confidence as to their ageability. Medium red/purple, mushroom and red berry nose, good depth and reasonable length. Soft but present acid. Will hold well for a few more years. Very good.

Drank on New Years Eve 2023-2024, Oustanding, wildflower muddled in the glass. Wish I had more.
