This was the best bottle of this I have tasted yet. Bought at Paul Dethune direct two years ago. Disgorged Jan-14 from memory. This actually is a vintage although not declared I believe (this one being purely based on 2008 wine). The cork also states 2008 although the label does not. It is very rich, and benefits from a bit of air and gaining temperature in the glass. Really substantial great BdB from this outstanding producer - making a rare BdB from Grand Cru Ambonnay.

Notes of slightly honeyed fruits and dry grass on a warm day. A touch of minerality on the back-palate. Medium(+) finish, just a little on the sweet side.

Alluring aromatic typical of his style. Sweet on the palate. On the 2nd day, it is very expresssive with fresh fruits notes. Light on the palate with red fruits and citrus notes. Lingering blood orange finish.

For me the best in a Tasting of 16 grower champagnes, fruity, mineralic, many in our group found it to sweet but though I like brut nature the higher sugar balanced the fine acidity of the wine, riper grapes give the creamy mouthfeel. It was a present of Sophie Dethune. Two more bottles left. Nice BdB from Ambonnay

Good. Quite lean and acidic. Bubbles frothy rather than subtle.
