  • Powerful black currant fruit and vanilla oakiness on the nose. Rich hue that prgressively lightens up on the edge. Strong/Medium tannins and new world, fruit forward boldness. A little imbalanced by the fruit, but a very pleasant wine. At this point I will hold on to my other bottles for awhile. Give the wine another 3-6 years before even considering opening it. It's still very young, but has the potential to balance better when the tannins are little less aggressive. This will never be an outstanding wine, but it's very good.
