  • As usual in Burgundy this bottle did not need to be decanted despite the warning from other CT mate. Psychological influences of vintage and winemaker. Cork in a perfect condition. Cherryish colour with watery edges. First blow on the nose is from a closed room and as I have already explained, it dissipated immediately. It is at that time when masculine aromas of flesh, ripe red berries, iron ore, black truffles, cherry soda, humid earth or even clove or cinnamon-like spices emerge. More than acceptable level of complexity for a village wine. Slightly over-extracted, no doubt in the mouth but with a lightness that only time has been able to provide. A mid-palate acidity and a short length. I expected a little more from a wine made with old vines. In short, a modern elaboration (extracted and spiced) that preserves the essence of the terroir on the nose. My advice if you really have a bottle like this is to open it sooner than later. Even with all these, I'm still trying to find out where the tannins (they only use 30% new wood) were according with Vinx. Only 84 points? Another joke ... Dill and coconut for food, what a week!

    Como es usual en Borgoña esta botella no necesitó ser decantada pese al aviso del otro colega de CT. Influencias psicologicas de la añada y de la elaboración.
    Corcho en perfectas condiciones. Color acerezado con bordes acuosos. Primer golpe en nariz es de habitación cerrada y como ya he expuesto, se disipó enseguida. Es entinces cuando emergen masculinos aromas a carne fresca, bayas rojas maduras, mineral de hierro, trufas negras, soda de cerezas, tierra mojada o incluso especias tipo clavo o canela.
    Más que aceptable nivel de complejidad para un vino de pueblo.
    Ligeramente sobreextractado sin duda en boca pero con una ligereza que sólo el tiempo ha sido capaz de aportarle. Una acidez central y una escasa longitud. Esperaba un pico más de una elaboración realizada con viñas viejas.
    En pocas palabras una elaboración moderna (extractada y especiada) que conserva la esencia del terruño en nariz. Mi consejo si realmente tienes alguna botella cómo esta es abrirla antes que después.
    Aun con tido todavía estoy intentando descubrir dónde estaban los taninos (solo usan un 30% de madera nueva) de mi colega Vinx. ¿sólo 84 puntos? Otro chiste ... por cierto menuda semana con eneldo y coco para comer.

  • Wine that discorded amongts the people with whom i tasted it. In my opinion, this wine was bold and too heavy on the tanin and found it was too agressive compared to what i was expecting. I found that the wine was imposing himself more by strenght than by finesse. But on the other hand the other two people with whom this bottle was consumed loved it so bit of a mix review...
