The tannins have mellowed after several years in the bottle. Still has some structure, but I recommend drinking it within the year. Very enjoyable at cellar temperature, well balanced.

Nothing special about this. Only average thus the score. When first opened, had nose like it was corked or cooked. Taste was the same. Kept it for a day and was moderately better. Had some pencil lead notes on the palate. Did not dump this like I did the first. Wondering if it could be a bad "batch". One more bottle to go.

Unfortunately my first tasting of this October 2010 Woot deal of Bell Cellars is a flawed bottle. I was so looking forward to this. It had nothing but a vinegar smell and taste. Dumped it down the drain. Hopefully this is my only corked bottle.

IT's OK. I didn't mean to drink this, but keep it and see if it would appreciate with age, our of curiousity, but anyway, my subconscious agreed with my assessment that I don't think it has the backbone or structure to age much further well. A bit hot, a bit fruity, a but empty. I think this is down to the warm year, as the basic wine flavours are good and not overripe, and a cooler year may well be rather good indeed!
Still, the 06: maybe good for cooking. Don't throw it away but it won't be your delicious drinking companion like others in the $20+ price range.

Of the 3 purchased, this was the best. Paired well with BBQ flank steak after having been open for 3 days. Upon iniital opening, it was not so good.
