Community Tasting Notes (3) Avg Score: 86 points

  • Dark violet in the glass. Plum, vanilla, blackberry and hints of green herbs on the nose. Reasonably balanced palate of ripe cherry flavors and spices with a medium to thick mouthfeel. Ordinary unremarkable finish. Paired nicely with spaghetti Bolognese.

  • More closed to the nose than the previous bottle, although plenty of vanilla oak and some blackberry comes through. Solid tannic backbone for ripe and thick cherry flavors on the palate. Has enough structure to cellar for several more years, but showing well now as it's primarily Shiraz grape. Medium length ordinary finish.

  • Plum, currant and vanilla on the nose. Medium bodied with a full mouthfeel and partially integrated soft tannins. Ripe cherry flavors for the palate with some spice coming through. Medium length peppery finish. Paired with medium rare grilled rib eye steaks and broiled potatoes. A nice table wine which should improve over the next few years, and is a bargain at this price.
