I find this to be drinking very well - perhaps a bit advanced for a 2002 vintage - but still very good. It has an oxidative style akin to Selosse. Very fine bubbles. Excellent density and intensity. Baked apple with a bit of spice and brioche. I wish that I had more than one bottle of this left!

Very mature, both on the nose and the palate. Bread and syrup. Very good, but past its peak. I had not expected this from a 2002 Mesnil. Bought at Launois in 2009 and stored in a cool cellar since.

Mostly French at Tilia's: Aromatic nose featuring predominantly clean citrus fruit. Bursts with flavor on the palate. Plush and rich with just enough structure. Great length on the finish. Pure pleasure.

Red Burgs Plus (Porter Creek, Burnsville): Nose has green apple, nutty, soft yeast, bright. Palate is bright too, crisp, clean, nice lift, apple, mineral, light yeast, long finish. Very good indeed.

Yeasty nose, nice roundness in the glass. Simple, solid Champagne.
