  • Upon opening explosive nose out of the bottle of candied raspberry and pomegranate; decanted a bit too long 3 1/2 hours full decanting, wine still good throughout night. Wine is probably at peak or just on downside. Drink over next 2 years.

  • 100% Grenache....Wonderful creamy wild berry, cherry, raspberry fruit...dark cocoa powder covered cherries, dry tannin, some fresh smoky earth, intense sweet spice. Brite sweet berry fruit, yet darkened with some nice earth and spice....almost tastes like a really rich Ca. Pinot, with big tannins? This wine is drinking amazing right now....still pretty intense...should gain even more, and further balance, with a little more age. Wish I had more!

  • Definitely softer and fewer tannins than the bottle just a few months ago, but all the same flavor profiles and definitely a delicious bottle of wine. Opened, let sit for about 45 minutes, then drank leisurely over 1+ hours, during which time it opened up and became a classic CA grenache!

  • Less overt fruit with more perfumy licorice, leather notes. Silky raspberry, glycerin texture and slight heat on the finish with firm tannins. Drink now and over the next 2 years.

  • No hurry on this, gripping tannins covered the blackberry, kirsch and garrigue flavors until it had been opened for about 2 hours or more. Give this another year... Still, it was delicious when it finally let loose!
