  • Tasted blind, this wine had a medium light red center and light orange rims. The medium intensity nose of cherries, roses, plum, anise, and soil was impressive.

    In the mouth, this wine was medium bodied with light, rounded tannin, excellent acidity, and good length. It had excellent complexity. Most Barolos, even the old ones, have tannins that are a bit out of balance. This was a rare exception.

    This was another classic from the master. It should last but it appears to be in its drinking window. I don't know if it got enough air or not.....
