Drank alongside an '00 Ridge Lytton Springs with Thanksgiving dinner, this was the showier wine. Peppery brambly fruit profile like you would expect in a mountain zin, this is rich and spicy and still quite fruit forward.

Finally opened. Honestly wasn’t overly happy with my last bottles so I’ve been waiting for this one. Still not super pleased. Not sure I’d guess Zinfandel. Varietal notes?? Acid is pretty high. Red fruit predominates. Not over the hill. No off tastes. Just nothing standing out.

Brought to a zin tasting and this was a highlight. Juicy acidity, laced with minerality and rocks. Boisenberry, spritely, definitely a food wine. Really impressed with how gracefully this has held up. Text book case for aging good zin a couple years.

Drank with picnic dinner (pork ribs, grilled corn, potato salad) at the Hatch Shell concert on Storrow Drive. Agree with the pencil shavings on the nose, plus mostly plum fruit profile. Big but balanced, holding its alcohol pretty well. Very good zin but hate the fort-knox like impenetrable capsule.

bright, succulent red fruits, high toned acidity. Dynamic wine, rises above the typical zin palate weight without being thin. Enjoyed this very much.
