  • Mais Qui !! But of course, this Pinot Noir is still kicking it after 15 years in the bottle. So good, I could not wait to write this tasting note. Perfect cork after a decade and a half in the bottle. This bottle was consumed over two days, fruit more predominant on the first day. Softened depth and integrated complexity on day two. Dark ruby color with minimal evidence of oxidation, clarity medium. Aromas of fig, dried cranberry, black tea, with hint of garrigue. Flavors of black cherry cola, raspberry, and a touch of good smoke with a medium to long finish. This Burgundy is very balanced flavorful Pinot Noir Primier Cru from the fabled Beaune Greves. This age worthy wine may have more years of life left thanks to great fruit and a very good winemaking effort.

  • Excellent balance and structure here. Palate is rich, but not at all overdone or hyper extracted. Decent tannic grip and long finish. From 2012 at least.
