Drank next to a 2009 Viña Magaña Navarra Barón de Magaña with the third starter and the main course on the new years eve dinner.
The third starter was a lightly salted cod brandered in a hot pan served with bacon, mushrooms and a creme of artichoke.
The main course was a filet of beef served with a mushroom sauce and Chevre and potato gratin.
The tannins in the wine merried nicely with the main course. Deep dark blue colored wine with lots of tannins, dark berries and balanced acidity. Fruity on the nose, which was not so clear on the tounge. Nice complexity.
Fruity
