Lacking in the marvelous bouquet that defines a Sauternes style wine. Has the acid to back up the sweetness but too one dimensional in flavour. I'll rather have a Wolf Blass Gold Label Botrytis Semillon for about the same price (if you must drink Aussie) or pay a little bit more for a young Lafaurie-Peyraguey.

At the Hunny Bell: very competent, balanced sauternes style sweetie, lush, reasonably lively

Interesting dessert wine: not too sweet so the flavours can still be tasted.
