This shows dusty, wild strawberry fruit on the palate, and fuzzy, worn sides that come from bottle age. Nicely integrated and soft in texture, good underlying acidity, with the dusty, wild strawberry showing a pretty side too. Brad thinks it's too oaky, but I disagree. Rather nice showing. Afghan Kebabs with Greg, Brad and Josh.

Vin assez austère, marqué par des tannins puissants et malheureusement assez secs. Alcool très bien maîtrisé. Très belle longueur. Ressemble vaguement à un Cabernet ou à un vin du Sud-Ouest.

First Aglianico, and one which makes me ask "Where have you been all my life?" I have a Serpico from Feudi but have not tried it yet. A luscious nose of black fruits, crushed violets, and precise oakiness, this medium to full bodied red leads with a rush of blackberry, cassis, and toasted oak. Smooth, velvety, and long in the finish, even at 6 years of age, this needs a couple of hours before drinking, and I see no reason that it would not hold up another 5-10 years.

Drinking well but seems to ave plenty of reserve, especially because of its good fruit/tannin/acidity balance.
