The consensus best wine of the evening among 16 wines served, that bested even the 2015 Tenuta Arcento Valadorna that the Wine Advocate scored 95+ points. Both were superb Bordeaux blends, but what most made the Walter Clore better was how it took full advantage of being aged for 15 more years. Highly aromatic, deliciously fruity, carressingly textured, and a near endless aftertaste.

A top wine from Columbia Crest winery in Washington. Opaque with a half inch pour but shows its 12 year age with a lighter ring around the glass. Aromas of lavender, blueberry, black plum, and black cherry. Glides into the mouth gentle and smooth, with undertows of refreshing acidity and rounded tannin. The swallow coats the back of the throat with concentrated, delicious, and rich fruit that lasts for minutes. Nothing old, oxidized, or thin, even held open for days. Overall a Bordeaux blend that has aged beautifully and will be fully enjoyable for years more.

My last one. Enjoyed with a Steak Rossini. Very memorable.
Need to try and buy some more

Very Good, on the decline. Should have drank last year! Still a bunch of fruit left though.
