This tastes like current vintage Kistler/Kosta Browne PN. I mean this bottle just keep on over delivering. Still showing some oak on the Bose and palate. Rich, sweet black raspberry fruit. Day 2 and the color seems much more garnet, light browning at the rim. Palate maintains extremely well. Still fine with 2029 window

Whoa. At pop and pour, shows substantial rustic oak/brown sugar, along with lots of dark red raspberry fruit. I mean, at first glance, not that mature at all. Color at the rim is still ruby, maybe getting old blood-y. Yes, iodine to the nose. Ripe fruit aromas for shizzle, but really not too opaque for the generosity of fruit. Medium minus tannin. Some meaty/bacon fat to the finish. LOTS of life if this is any indication. Extend that drinking window to 2029.

Far from a typical RRV cherry cola trollop, but I expected something better. Savory with good earth and tea leaf but modest density. The real problem is some back-end drying tannic bitterness that I could have done without. Press wine? Probably. It detracted from the elegance of the lower alcohol style and will resolve eventually, but I don't think there's enough in the middle to justify waiting for that to happen.

I'm half way through a case and all have been great, but it's even better now and shows no signs of declining. The drinking window should go easily into the next decade. Wonderful pinot flavors with an amazing, long finish. A wine to be savored.

At Jess and Matt's 'Wedding.': Black cherry on the palate. Wild spice on the palate. A big and rich PN. Gone.
