Appearance: Bright and clear, the wine is of deep lemon colour, with narrow watery rims and legs. Nose: Clean, with pronounced intensity aromas of citrus fruit of lemon, green fruit of apple, minerality notes of saline and chalk, floral notes of peach blossom, dairy notes of butter and cream, oak notes of vanilla, maturity notes of truffle. The wine is developing. Palate: Dry with medium acidity, the wine has medium (+) alcohol, medium (+) body, with pronounced flavours of citrus fruit of lemon, green fruit of apple, dairy notes of cream, oak notes of vanilla, mineral notes of stony. The wine has a medium (+) finish. Conclusion: Very good quality Criots-Batard-Montrachet with an intense nose showing great complexity, with the citrus, floral and apple notes supplemented well with minerality and vanilla, buttery characters. The wine is well-balanced, with good body and vibrancy, also very strong concentration of flavours and a long finish. It is ready to drink now but can benefit from further ageing of another 3-5 years.

This started quite differently from the Raveneau, with a very creamy/oak nose and white flowers/chalk. It eventually "tightened" up, and yielded some scents of peach. On the palate, structured with quite a bit of tension. Long finish. This will undoubtedly be better with more cellar time...

Similar to last notes. Buttery, ripe-grape nose; round, ripe, full-flavored finish; acid balance softening.

Rich older Chardonnay nose; honey, butterscotch, stone fruit; mid-body, good acid structure; long ripe rich finish. w/seafood entree.
