large and ripe nose chocolate, fruit cake, with a wee bit of sangio funk if you search for it underneath the globs of confection. opulent nose contrasts with a much more elegant palate.
interesting and rather enjoyable as a single glass. decent wine at closeout price, but not the right style of Brunello for aging imo

One of the better aged Brunellos I've had. Not overly acidic or tannic. Backbone is still there but it's so open and soft on the palate. There's a bricky tone to the profile, there is cherry and rasberry fruit that is enticing. Really nice.

Clear, dark garnet with a clean yet restrained dusty, earthy nose. Good weight on the palate with some dark fruits and leather and tobacco. Tannins have predominantly softened but still very dry finish, a bit harsh. Good quality wine with a rustic complexity, definitely peaking now. Decanted 1 hour. Paired with braised beef short ribs.

Ignore the CT drinking window on this wine, it is alive and well.
