  Poured with a color edging from purple to garnet. Initially had a very herbaceious nose that disipated after about 20-30 minutes. What was left was a red fruit dominated wine that seemed a bit light on the palate. Whatever tannins existed had dropped off, leaving a sweet vanilla after note along with a 14.4% alcohol level. Unlikely to improve substantially, but probably hangs around at it's peak for 1-2 more years.
