Really good, great QPR even at the $35 price point that I paid three years ago. Nose had smokey brambly red fruits and some dust, hard to keep my nose out the glass. The palate was creamy soft, nice acid, lots of dark berries, mocha, and fine tannins. Paired well with tenderloin and roasted peppers. This is ready to go right away, wish i had more.

The nose has spices, hint of licorice, as well as some fruit, mainly berries. Fruity palate shows a lot of berries, some oak. Tannins are still very noticeable and this wine should hold up nicely for a few years.

Hidden Gems (Farpointe Cellar): What a nice nose. Nothing really dominated, but it all seemed to weave together. There was blackberry and nutmeg, cherry and mocha, toasted oak and plum. There was a little more fruit upfront on the palate, mainly blackberry and plum, but underneath was a spicy chocolate layer framed in oak.

PnP. Dark berries, worn leather, sandalwood, soft tannins, long finish. Very good!

Dark fruits, blackberries, plums, a little pepperiness. Good, solid, varietally typical Cab, but nothing exceptional.
