Absolutely massive at 15.5% ABV, but could be far more cloying than it is. Great acidity helps a lot with that, and there's good structure here, but the tannins are well-integrated and smooth at this point. Prune and super-ripe strawberry make up most of the fruit profile. Good for what it is, and even if big wines are not your thing (as they are not mine), you could do far worse.

A nice Cabernet and I like the Old School style here. Lifted red fruit, currants, licorice, oak spice and cedar take center stage on the nose. The palate is bright, gravelly, and linear, with dusty tannin and touches of menthol and cocoa. If I had another bottle I'd sit on it for a couple more years.

Typical Alexander valley style, but the acidity was a bit higher than expected.

Solid wine, needed time in decanter to unfold.

Plenty underneath but needs decanting to get past the wood at the moment.
