Very fine sediment but not a lot for a 25 year old. Nose of old lacquered furniture, honeycomb and beef stew. Lovely texture in the mouth - fine tannins - with black olives, orange rind and licorice. Not a big wine but definitely excellent food wine. Good acid on long finish of oxtail, asparagus and Paddle Pop stick. Still a lot of life left.

Medium dark colour, bit murky. Attractive and lush on the palate, load of red fruits, lactic tone, finishing with some bitter, dry as well as lactic notes in the very end. Nose very Cabernet in a lush style with dark ripe fruits, vanilla (oak) and vegetal notes as well as some less attractive green notes.

All the goodness of Coonawarra coming together in a medium bodied perfectly balanced drop. Cassis, cedar, cigar box, earthy, slightly leafy and herbaceous, eucalypt. Richness in a glass with a smooth and oh so long finish. Absolute bargain at $40.

A recent bottle opened was lighter and significantly more developed than this bottle I opened in Sydney last night. A gorgeously seductive, still fresh Coonawarra classic here with some considerable development to come. 93

{cork, 13.5%} A perfect repetition of the note from 8 months ago. Sweetly ripe nose, swinging between herbaceous developed cabernet and vanillan, Rioja-like aromas. The balance is really good in all honestly, excepting a weaker back palate. Softly decadent finish, speaking honestly of ripe cabernet; although not cerebral it's all charm and endearing appeal. Nowhere to go; might hold for a few years, but not worth the risk.
