PY91 - 2019.09.25 2001 Comte Senard Corton-Bressandes
Aromatics of red fruits laced with earthiness, pine cones, pine needles, forest floor, almond jellos, and savory sour cabbages. Palate shows a savory wine, good acidity, salinity, dry fragrant herbs, accompanied by some red fruits. Nice wine, but leaves you wanting a bit more in body and structure. Not likely to be improve further, peaking now, should hold for another five years.

Better than I remember on our trip to Burgundy. In my mind classic Corton. Beautiful translucent ruby color. Great depth with layers of dark fruit jam and earth and some electricity. Decent but not overly acidic. Some of that Burgundy funk I crave. A finish which lasted and lasted.
