  • Tasted besides 01 Jean Raphet Clos de Vougeot. Strong, fresh fruit nose, pyrazines there but not debilitating to me (I actually quite liked it). Palate is more linear than the Raphet. Fresher fruit and acidity, still a good tannic grab (still not quite ready) but has a much longer finish. It is modest for a grand cru, that is for certain, but it is still quite enjoyable and when I think of 04's I have much enjoyed I put it in similar standing to a few 1er Cru Groffier's I have had (Sentiers and Hauts Doix). Modern but not big, still real wine. Not as expensive either...
