  • Translucent garnet with a pale rim. Nothing very distinct on the nose just an earthy aroma. in the mouth it is smooth, tannins integrated with modest acidity. The secondary flavours are starting to dominate musky, earthy mushroom notes with just a bit of the underlying fruit still showing. A decent finish with some residual sweetness and spiciness. Overall a good effort but nothing special.

  • Slightly minty, a bit truffley / musky, quite nice on the nose. A bit light on the palate. Good, but far from great. Similar to other Lamy's I've had, just seems stripped / missing something, wonder if they filter aggressively?
