Chardonnay from Ambonnay, therefore from a place dominated by Pinot Noir. Accepted wisdom is that this is where PN reaches its maximum expression. So i am always intrigued to try a Chardonnay from the area. I like this very much. Very pale yellow colour. It is weightier than a Côte des Blancs BdB. The palate weight and breadth is just right. Finishes with intense yellow fruit notes.

Just nu aningen sluten. Antar att räntan med största sannolikhet är hög för den som orkar vänta. Deg:04/21.

After a disappointing 2013 Les Beurys recently, i hesitated to reach for this - but I’m so glad I did. I love the intense, taut citrus and green apple both on the nose and in the mouth. With air, this develops green tea and subtly yellow curry notes which are as pleasant as they are unexpected. The bright acid is cut by just enough flesh and a delightfully fine mousse. Still a little too young - not sure when this was disgorged (Lot L11-21) but 93-94.

BdB, smells organic, exotic nose, needed time to express itself, liked this
