Golden-yellow in colour. Slightly oxidised on the nose with notes of red apples, honey, chamomile, almonds. On the palate off-dry, rich and quite sweet, but with lots of acidity and energy. Wonderfully mellow and nuanced, lingering and persistent. Great. No rush drinking this. 92-94

Very dry with a beautiful slate and pineapple component. For me, this was a perfect bridge between the sweetness of Germany and the austerity and slate of Austria. Great acidity that was neither too subtle nor too in your face. Wonderful wine.

Dry on the nose, some mineral and matchstick/gunsmoke along with tangerine and citrus notes. Purportedly off-dry, but maybe a ripe Kabinett-level sweetness. Clean and juicy, relatively low acid and somewhat angular. While straightforward and a bit simple, an excellent deal on closeout for $20. Overwhelmed and not a particularly good pairing with carryout extra-spicy Kung Pao Chicken.

This is doing better than the last time I had it. It's medium-full bodied and has a fair lick of sweetness still, not showing a whole lot of structure. But the fruit is great, an intense pineapple. It suffered only in comparison to the 2000 Donnhoff HH which we had along with it and is drinking wonderfully.

Oxidized ciders flavors. Drinkable but not particularly enjoyable anymore.
