relatively light body and unremarkable nose. Lighter color than I expected given the stated blend. Too much oak on the palate and chewy tannins. From the list at Jaleo Bethesda at 4x retail markup.

60% Monastrell, 40% Petit Verdot. Appearance: Clear, deep garnet, pale rim. Nose: Clean, spicy berries, cedar. Palate: Dry, moderate acidity, moderate tannins, medium alcohol and medium-to-full bodied with medium+ intensity blackberries, dried blueberries, cedar, and spice. Medium+ finish length. Very good quality. Drink now or age over the short term. Cork closure. 13.5% abv (D 7.5, F 6; FW, Opici, Cent)

Surprisingly bright fruit, slight florality, liquorice, some spices and classy oak. Full-bodied palate with red and dark fruit, medium grip, balanced acidity and notes of toffee, spice and liquorice. Warm long finish. Nothing extraordinary, but way better than I recalled. Aired for a couple of hours.

Had this at Racion in Pasadena. A perfect tapas wine - on the lighter/spicier side, held up to both cod fritters and squid ink pasta.
