  • Tasted double blind. Slightly bretty, but has enough fruit to overcome it.

  • 40% Carmenere/30% Cabernet/30% Syrah
    Bottle #3128 of 4182
    Fully biodynamic
This is quite a brilliant wine with many more years left ahead of it. Sumptuous rich layers of deep ripe plum, smoky char, earthy decay with a powerful spicy tannic structure.
The finish is silky yet structured, easy to drink yet still rather primary.
With so much ripe fruit at the core and very little tertiary or secondary evolution this wine leave me to think it's only a teenager.
Cellar easily another 3-5 years before peak......maybe even longer.

  • Gorgeous ripe Bordeaux-like nose. On the palate, maybe a touch simple - a little too "sweet" prehaps. But an interesting stemmy/earthy note stands in juxtaposition. There is a touch of green pepper, but not too much. This is a purple young wine with tannins that suggest it could stand some aging (I have no more so this is perhaps a moot point). The label states this is 40% Carmenere, 30% C.S. & 30% Syrah. This was bottle #3278 of 4182.
